Lest we too soon forget. Centreville Wildcats, State Champions 2013 and 15th rated team in the entire country by USA TODAY.

Who said anyone on CVille was talking? You have to give a public school a ton of credit for scheduling a private school that recruits wherever instead of plays (and excels) with kids only from their district.

At this point you have to start talking about this 2013 team as one of the best ever to come out of Northern Virginia. The first team to represent the "North" sectional, which means they were the first team to play in a tournament where all the best teams from the "North" were assembled. Along the way they beat Hylton (scrimmage) Westfield (2X), Stonewall Jackson, South County, TC Williams and of course the Concorde District. They set multiple records and could have set many more if they had played the First Team more than a half along the way.

Finally they dominated Oscar Smith, the best team in the "South" by far, 35-6 in the State Championship. Westfield, who will be brought up in this conversation, barely got by Oscar Smith on their run to their State Championship.
