Former FFX resident to run for Congress, representing Wyoming!

Liz Cheney is now running for Wyoming's open Congressional seat, her father's old, At Large, seat, in fact. As soon as her website is up, I will post the URL so you can send her political donations. Go Liz!

We need more "Conservative Leadership" in the House. We need the kind of "Conservative Leadership" Liz will bring to the United States Congress.

Why does that name sound familiar?

Local girl does well. She was a cheerleader at McLean High School when she graduated in 1984. She was in the State Department under W. For years, and has a sister. Marry, who Liz just adores.

There is no better way to take the country back from Washington insiders than to elect someone who is a second generation Washington insider.

I was hoping Jeb! Or Ted Would tap her for their running mate. Oh well, I guess this is for the best. I mean, with Cruz or Jeb! in the White House, an Liz Cheney in the Congress, what could possibly go wrong for our country?

Just a quick question. When Liz worked for the State Department, was she able to set up her own private e-mail server to store sensitive information on?

Not sure. But I do know her boss, Colin Powell, used private email accounts to contact Ambassadors, foreign officials, and State Department employees.

Does that answer your question??

When she wins the primary, just imagine all the "Elect Cruz-Cheney" bumper stickers popping up everywhere!

I believe I read where she was running for a seat in Wyoming in the past and came under fire for not being in the state. I'm sure they'll raise the same issue this time around too and could end her campaign.

Seems fair to me. I don't like carpet-baggers (e.g. NY voting in Hillary as their senator, Virginia voting in McAuliffe as the Governor) when said individuals didn't reside in the state, nor very long at all before running.

Oh fuck, haha you are still trying to get cooch elected dumbass?

Blah blah, a syracuse native come here to steal the commonwealths governorship.

“My wife, Dorothy, and I have lived in Virginia for over 20 years, and here we’ve raised five children of our own.”

20 fuckin years you dumbass. Most of you teatards haven't lived in Virginia for 20 years. Most of virginia hasn't lived in virginia for 20 years.

That's a lot less carpetbaggering than Lynn picking some state that her daddy hunts in, with no affiliation to, and running for office there. If she lived in shitty Wyoming for 20 years, no one would say she was an outsider.

Cooch lost, deal with it moron.

Daily Kos found out she made her twitter announcement that she was running for Wyoming's House Seat from Alexandria, VA, not Wyoming. This ride is going to be a fun one! Please, Dick, go on the campaign trail for you daughter, and for your country.

There are certainly more egregious examples of carpetbagging. At least she grew up in Wyoming.

Nothing left to lose ... again. I doubt it'll get rid of the that sticky hubris.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/02/liz-cheney-makes-nice/436683/

"Word out of Wyoming is that plenty of folks still bear a grudge. “The political establishment hates her guts,” says one local reporter. “I don’t have enough hours in the day to listen to people talk to me off the record about how much they hate her.” It’s not Cheney’s policies, clarifies the reporter, so much as “the whole carpetbagger thing.”

Wyoming Republican operative Bill Cubin is among those not so jazzed about Cheney’s candidacy. “The last race really put a sour taste in people’s mouths about her,” says Cubin, who’s advising the rival campaign of state lawmaker Tim Stubson. “She assumed she could come back from Virginia, buy a house in a resort town in northwestern Wyoming, and that people would just fall all over themselves to support her because her last name is Cheney. I think it was hubris, I think it came across that way, and I think that has stuck.”
