It's more about being selected than your ability to afford. Not everyone can just join.

There is a garage close-by where you can park for $5.

But you can't just join because you have enough clout.

Out of curiousity I just checked out their website. I can honestly say that is the type of place I would never frequent, full of people I have no desire to associate with.

I've looked into it. It's basically an overpriced wanna-be "skull and crossbones" type of club for rich old white men. Paying for the privledge to say they belong to a group of other rich old white men.

Build it and they will come. And ignore the fact that it's in a suburban shopping district. Still exclusive, right? If you have enough tacky wall paneling.

Why would anyone join this Tower Club over places like the Alibi Club or Cosmos Club in DC....

I'm a member. The monthly fee is pretty reasonable - something like $200 a month. Food is great, parking is never an issue. I wish I got over there more often.

Because those clubs are for people who have made it. Tower Club is for wannabees.

The Cosmos Club is for people who made it decades ago in previous centuries. They are in their 80's, 90's and older. The Tower Club has a much younger demographic.

Membership in the Alibi Club is anonymous and is limited to fifty. Admission is possible only through the unanimous vote of the 49 members remaining after an existing member dies. The Tower Club is a corporate replica of the gentlemen's club experience. It's no more exclusive than an upscale golf or tennis club. Got money and friends? You're in.

If you're a member (or hoping to become a member) of the Tower Club, you're almost certainly a douchebag grade-A, friendless, BMW-driving prick wannabe poseur with an inferiority complex. You know you're a loser and wish you weren't, but can't do anything about it. People are polite around you, but hate your guts, laugh at you behind your back, and have no respect for you.

It's not even that exclusive. If you're up the corporate chain at any of the major firms in the Tyson's Area, it's not hard to join. It's mainly breakfasts, lunches, and speakers.

Not like the Metropolitan Club downtown (where I am a member) or the City Tavern Club (where I was a member in my youth) where you are mingling with the tall poppies over drinks. Cosmos Club is for old smart people...

I was working at MS back when they were located at Towers Crescent Drive. Those Tower Club snooty brat pack types were all the same- balding, wives not putting out, and all drove fast cars.

It was clear then they don't take MS guys into their homo club.

The club is a great place to work and meet with customers and other employees. If you work from home Tyson's is the perfect spot. I think its a cheap date, but that is up to the indv.

I use the club alot, mostly for a cup of coffee, free wi-fi, follow-up calls and a clean bathroom.

Look up homophones. Ooops, sorry -- those are words that sound the same. Like to and too, or there, their, and they're. Those are mistyped for each other all the time in an internet environment. Often by smarter people who actually have two or three other things going on in their heads at the same time. Odd that you never knew that.

Been a member for years and reluctantly go at least once a month for meetings.
Foods ok but over-priced.
Bathrooms are clean.

The other members though - they give me the creeps. Nuveau riche shit everywhere. Most of the old guys have atrocious bad breath and smell like cheap cologne mixed with I just took a shit. The women look like old beat up WW2 cargo ships from the mothball fleet and have that ammonia- urine odor you pick-up at the old folks home.

Service sucks - at every meeting I have to get up and go into the service area to find some half-awake support staff to get additional plates, forks, knives, spoons, coffee pot and water refilled, food replenished, etc.

Its funny when somebody shows up to give a presentation from their laptop and the projector never fucking works.

When they play live music in the lobby it sounds like a funeral.

Hate that place.

Homophones are learned in second grade along with which word is appropriate for the situation. Don't get all butthurt and bent out of shape at me because you were too stupid to learn which word to use in the appropriate circumstance. Your vitriol should be directed towards whatever shitty educator you had or your own inability to learn.

Wrong, fuckstick. An idiot with half of my IQ would know the difference between sew and sow. You clearly fall below that threshold. That's the end of the story. Now go back in the corner and suck your thumb before you fuck up any other idioms.

Imagine (if you can) what someone with double your IQ would know. And of course more than double your wealth and experience as well. Typo-obsessed types are simply examples of the levels to which hollowed-out, braindead douchebags can utterly collapse. To ask then a question with a perfectly obvious answer, why is your worthless ass so fucking limited? Is Zippy simply not equipped or trained to fly at any higher level? LOL!

As noted, a person with half my IQ knows the difference between sew and sow. Also noted was the fact that you clearly fall below that level because you do not know the difference.

You're stupid. You're insignificant. You have proven that in this thread.

Attempting to insult me isn't going to make any of that go away. Remember, I'm not the one that fucked up the difference between sew and sow. You should actually be thanking me for teaching you the difference.

There was no "attempting" about it. Over and over, you show yourself to be just a low-grade goober fucktard who can't climb any higher than the chimp-level nonsense of pointing out typos. What a sorry-ass state to have to live one's life in. Truly pathetic.

Sure there was and you failed at that as much as you failed at knowing the difference between sew and sow. No matter how much you try and deflect, your idiocy is right there in black and white for all to see. In short, you lose.

In case you haven't noticed, I am enjoying watching you get all butthurt. Your reaction was predictable and humorous. Stupid little bug always flies too close to the zapper. It never learns.

The only thing pathetic in this thread is how butthurt you are because your idiocy was put on display. Funny, but pathetic.

It is part of Club Corp. There is probably an initiation fee of a couple thousand dollars. The monthly fee is about $225 or you can do the gold membership which is about $270 a month and food is half off. if there is a monthly minimum its fairly low ($20-$40). You also get some reciprocal benefits at other Club Corp properties (e.g. golf at River Bend, Chantilly or Piedmont for nominal charge). It caters towards business executives and most people join to do networking. Typical social events are wine tastings, casino nights and whiskey tastings. Hope that helps.
