FCPS: 2 Hour delay 01/21/16

A message from FAIRFAX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
All Fairfax County public schools and school offices will open two hours late tomorrow (Condition 3). Central offices will open by 10 a.m.
Morning preschool (special education) classes are canceled.
Afternoon preschool classes start on their regular schedule.
Full-day preschool (special education) and Family and Early Childhood Education Program/Head Start classes start two hours later than the regular schedule.
Morning field trips are canceled.
School age child care (SACC) centers will open at 7:00 a.m.
Morning transportation for high school academy classes is canceled. Transportation for afternoon academy classes will be provided.
Adult and community education classes will start on time.
Conditions will be reassessed in the morning and if closure is necessary will be announced by approximately 6:15 am.

Why do the school office also open 2 hrs late????? Who is running the offices?
100% of regular offices are on time tomorrow. Who is directing the clean up of the schools in the morning?

the clean up of schools are done by essential personnel who are still required to come in no matter what the schools do such as delay or close. There has been storms where these essential personnel were stuck at the office because their replacements could not make it in etc. Believe it or not there or some operations that run 24/7 in FCPS and it is not only the Security division.
