Everyone wanted RG3 to have a productive long career but he just couldn't stay healthy and took too many hits. Cousins looks like a solid QB we should keep. Sign him.

Washington will resign Kirk and yes he will be rich. Apples and oranges with RGIII - cousins is a pocket passer. RG could only operate running around like crazy - he could not pocket pass. Anyone running in the NFL has a very limited time to play as injury will get most. Some RBs last half as long as pocket qb's RG is more fragile than most place kickers.
Cousins is very smart, quick and he studies Brady. He doesnt get hit that much even behind a below average line on a team with no run game. Kirk could last a long time. Again, unlike Jason Campbell (poor bastard took a beating) Kirk gets rid of the ball. The key is not fundamental talent its how you use what you have. Kirk has developed a style that has a longer shelf life than a frantic running qb like RG. Kirk will be a much better than average qb for many years to come.
Any team would be glad to pay him 10 million a year - Im guessing a 3 year deal for 35 million with 15-20 million guaranteed. No he wont get an RG$$$ deal but he will be set for life if he doesnt hire clinton portis' finance guy.

seems like a nice guy. RG is a nice guy too. I guess there is a balance of ego and selflessness kirk is on the humble side which is okay but so is being a ham. As long as you deliver no one really cares. In fact people like a ham that delivers.
I think Kirk will mature into a guy that can win a lot. God knows he has been delt a weak hand prior to Reed and Jackson getting on track. Get another good TE and WR and Kirk will deliver for a long time to come.

There's no place for Cousins to go except to a team worse than the Skins. Every team as good or better already has a QB as good or better than Kirk.
