Tremor at 11:15 PM Monday, Bailey's Crossroads.

Way high up here, so movements are magnified.
Indoor TV antenna is wagging and shelves are moving a little.

I'm not drunk, so... ?

"way up here"

So I take it you're in a high rise? That would be super creepy. I was in an earthquake in a hotel in Los Angeles around 15 years ago. It woke me up, but in my half-awake state I thought it was a faulty AC unit and went right back to sleep. It wasn't until I saw on the news the next morning there had been an earthquake did I realize what had disturbed my beauty sleep.

Despite rampant taco and burrito eating reported by morons, Virginia has had zero earthquakes in the past seven days. The largest earthquake in Virginia in the past month was on Sept 27 in Charlottesville. It registered 1.8 on the Richter scale. The largest quake in Virginia so far this year was also in Charlottesville on March 15. It registered a 2.8.

No earthquakes in the past week in our area.

Use the USGS earthquake map to find quakes for yourself: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
