That's cause McLean/Vienna/Merrifeld is filled with Saudis and Lebanese people. You'll find more "americanized" immigrants in Chantilly, Fairfax Station areas, I haven't seen anyone with a headscarf until I walked into a Lotte grocery store

It's been well before the Mosaic was built. The Saudi Embassy Culture Center is right down the road. Closer to Fairfax Circle is the Islamic Culture center and Palm School. The nannies/moms go shopping while the kids are in school.
