Anyone else a little jaded Max was named opening day starter and not Zimmermann? I understand why Strasburg was bumped, but J. Zim had a cy-young type season last year and you would think they would do anything possible to keep him happy.....
If the Learners let anyone of our 5 starters go next season/this season I will become an O's fan.
Who is going to play 2nd when Rendon gets healthy? Are we sticking with Mr. Strikeout Espinosa or old man Ugla?

George got a job with the Nats? Cool! The guy seems kinda pudgy to me but I guess he'll put butts in the seats. I dont think the brothas going to be thrilled.
Baseball, enjoyable to play, boring as hell to watch. Baseball needs to go 'full contact'. Tackling, blocking, sack the pitcher. No beaning with the hardball though, that was deadly once

You oblivious don't know enough about baseball to make it interesting for you.
There's more to baseball than swinging a bat and hitting a ball. Righty vs lefty, number of pitches, slider, heater, inside, chin music, leading off, slide, stealing base, infield fly rule...
In baseball slang, it means a pitch that is thrown near the batter's face. The pitcher's intent may be to cause the batter to move "back" such that it is more difficult to hit a future outside pitch, to frighten the batter into a poorer batting approach, to intimidate opposing batters, or to actually hit the batter with the pitch. If the umpire suspects the pitcher of either of the latter two intentions, he may eject the pitcher immediately or warn both teams that any similar pitch will result in automatic ejection. The pitcher's manager may also be ejected or warned if the umpire believes the manager ordered the beanball.
In the late 1800s, at baseball's inception, the phrase "chin music" was used to describe razzing or heckling from the fans. It began being used as a synonym for a brushback pitch around World War II.
So I obivously just recieved my answer about the idiots that post on this webiste. A bunch of losers who have been losers since they were young and didnt participate in sports and if tried were cut from all teams you tried out for....
Baseball is Americas sport and we have a team here in our great city that could do BIG things!
While your sitting in your parents basements watching fat girl porn, eating the hame cheese sandwich your grandma made you or obsessing with Toohey, tune into MASN and watch (what could be) the greatest baseball team ever assembled.
I would bet that 95% of all posters on this forum are huge losers at life!
Bench clearing brawls = full contact. Yes the beauty of Baseball are the nuances of the game. The little things like a squeez play exicuted to perfection, a no hitter or a perfect game. Or even a throw em out strike em out double play, my personal favorite! Match ups and who wins the battle within the game. The game is a slower pace than football for sure but the enjoyment for me is an 11 pitch at bat ending with either a hit or a strike out depending on which team your are rooting for.
Watch out for the cubs this season. They could take it right down to the wire with the the nats and beat them in the playoffs to continue on. The Nats have a great pitching staff and a strong defence but they are going to have to hit to advance beyond the first round. Hopefully the bats will stay fired up this season through the playoffs so we can get some playoff games here in DC.

Who asked for this explanation? Or is this just more unsolicited ramblings of the same asshole?

I find baseball quite boring to watch. Though its fun to play, I played into my teens. But it is no longer Americas past time. That's now football. Some people enjoy it, and it takes talent, but its the most boring spectator sport besides chess. If you like it, fine. But most of this country thinks it sucks. Gone are the days when Ty Cobb could jump into the stands to beat a spectator, Babe Ruth could hit a home run with a bat in one hand and a pitcher of beer in the other right after fucking a hooker in the on-deck circle, Shoeless Joe Jackson or Pete Rose would be making side bets with fans on each at-bat, That pitcher in the early 70's pitching a no-hitter while tripping on acid, Dwight Golden and Darryl Strawberry sharing their cocaine with attendees, Jose Canseco showing fans how too properly inject steroids. All gone.
Yeah, baseball has lost its style and entertainment.
I'll take a baseball game with baseball anyday over drunken football fans that act like third graders.
Football looks like it's more popular because there is only one game play in a week for each team.
I'd say soccer is most active action packed sport, next basketball, hockey then football. That's saying the amount of movement on a court or field. If fans of a sport need "movement" to enjoy the sport than that's sad. Sports should be a combination of strategy vs athletics.
People can't get enough football. Some high school fb teams in the south have better attendance than the Florida Marlins. I haven't been to a highschool baseball game in years, but I never saw more than a hundred at one. Baseball is what it is, but the under 50 crowd leans more to football.
But, somehow, baseball can still afford those insane contracts. I guess its not doing too bad.
I like the Nats, but at the same time I fucking hate them. It's mostly the fans, to be honest. I follow a shitload of them on Twitter and they're so fucking retarded. Harper can literally do no wrong and when Williams sits him for being fucking lazy, it's because Williams doesn't have his star player's back and doesn't respect his Natitude (TM). When they embarrassed themselves in that clusterfuck of a Game 2 against the Giants, they blamed the pitching change and THE WEATHER. They seriously blamed the fucking weather for their inability to get a ball out of the infield. When they've won a grand total of three postseason games and zero series in three seasons, they act like they're on the verge of becoming the 96-01 Yankees. They looooooooooove winning the NL East and completely ignoring the fact that they've accomplished absolutely nothing of note, ever.
Fucking stop, Nats fans. The team isn't built for success now or in the future. The bullpen is pitiful at best and there is ZERO leadership in the clubhouse. Werth is more worried about flying down the beltway than making contact with RISP and Harper is too busy being the biggest diva in the history of DC sports. Whatever so-called training staff the club employs must be solely comprised of high school students that hang out in their school's trainer's office. There's always some key player hurt or recovering from an injury, and more than anything else, they're unclutch. Whenever their backs are against the wall in October and they look like they might falter, they do just that. So calm down with this "World Series or bust!" bullshit and pray that the known steroid abuser who happens to manage this shantytown of a ballclub doesn't finish the implosion job that he started in October.

If he played hockey, he'd get the shit beaten out of him every night. He's a fucking bitch.

But in September when the Nats have a 15+ game division lead you will be talking about how the Redskins are going to the playoffs and are 1 play away from being 12-4....LOL

Nope, I'll be waiting for them to refuse to give any effort in the NLDS and get swept.
MLB lost it's mojo years ago. The sport is great to watch at the amateur level. Very nuanced. But going to a major league game has become a drag. Too corporate. Fans are uber annoying.
