Another Rescue in Great Falls Park.

A saw a bunch of rescue trucks headed into Great Falls. Scanner said one body in the river, one hoisted out by the helicopter(Eagle 2) off some rocks and one taken out by trail.

Before that I was in the park and saw a bunch of kayakers carrying their canoes on the rocks in the middle of the MAIN falls. CRAZY!

I wonder if they tried to kayak the main falls.

NO! I think the FFX PIO is wrong. I think it's DIFFICULT RUN not Scott's Run.

Scott's Run is a couple of miles from Difficult Run. The launched boats from Sandy Landing which is near DIFFICULT RUN.

Well considering they were carrying canoes, I think that would be kind of hard to do.

Woman fell about 40 feet down a cliff near the Scott's Run Water Fall. This was at Scott's Run, not Difficult Run and not GF Park. Even started shortly after 11 am Sunday morning.

Often FCFD attempts boat launches from Sandy Landing at GF, but the water level in the river was too low. Often FCFD will station at Sandy Landing for Command Post purposes.

There was a 2nd victim in the water from my understanding, I heard it mentioned as a body in the water, but then I heard a request for a 2nd transport for "exposure".

When will the arm chair mountaineers in the area realize that within about a 1/2 mile of the river things can and do get quite dangerous.

2 hour event to get someone out from the edge of the river that was badly injured.

Other news reports indicated life threatening injuries, but I cannot confirm.

Within 1/2 a mile of the river? You mean on dry land? Were there niggers lurking about?
