Time for our annual street sweeping!

Once a year for some unknown reason the county runs a street sweeper through the neighborhood. Now I can understand if you've got a parking lot or a road where there's been construction or something like that but a random annual street-sweeping is a completely pointless waste of money. Somebody's relative must have the contract.

Usually before fall, before the leaves drop, they're also checking the inlets for visible signs of wear. DERP less!!!!!

We are trying to sweep up the excessive amounts of sand that our contractors spread last summer. It gets into, and can clog the storm sewers, you know.

Of course we should have done this immediately after the last freeze in March or April. So most of the sand is already in the storm sewers. Oh well.

It's an election year, isn't it? I bet the median strips are also getting mowed.Trying to put constituents in the good graces of their respective elected officials.

Street sweeper came through our neigjborhood too. Unnecessary and such a waste. Maybe in the spring after the last snow fall, but not now.
