Years ago back in West Springfield, a rapid raccoon was charging people during daylight hours .. I believe one witness did everyone the favor of running it over with his car.

Killing the animal immediately, stops the virus from spreading from that animal to another animal or human.

Calling animal control ... and waiting doesn't cut it once the animal has bitten even more people, in the interim.

The animal will die eventually from the virus anyway.
