Parked cars on Frying Pan Road near 28

For sometime, I have wondered what people are doing parked in the alcoves on Frying Pan Road between 28 and Sunrise Valley Drive. Also, similar alcoves on Sunrise Valley Drive between Copper Mine Road and Frying Pan Road.

What are these people doing there? I see no public park nor any other attractions. Some buses and trucks occupants seem to be killing time. Some vehicles are unoccupied. Is there a secret meeting happening in these woods?

I've seen this too - I think they must be Uber drivers waiting for airport calls.

Uber drivers. Not allowed to park at airport. Some real shitty beater cars there too. Glad I went to college and have a good job.

That doesn't make much sense since the could park closer to the airport at service roads off Waxpool. Doesn't Uber dispatch the nearest vehicle?

I always assumed they were grabbing a bite to each or doing drugs.
