I go into the grocery store and see so many alcoholic beverages stocked more high than any edible food products.. and I think that people drink...a....lot....I'm not shaming or anything I just think they do. Who doesn't like a buzz anyway? Only the prudes.

I work at a hospital. We ask patients how much they drink. We then usually double the amount and/or frequency. So, if it is five beers a week, it is probably more like 10-20. If they say one drink every other day, it is probably a large double every night.
Denial is a huge problem. We also find people weigh at least 10-20 pounds than they tell us.

Bad. Everytime I've been admitted to a hospital, or gone with someone who has, they are always weighed / had their temp taken before even being seen. There's no weight estimation.

in the 80's there were ALLOT of drunks everywhere in fairfax and around europe asia
it was common that a construction worker would report to you a 6-pack or 12-pack a day habbit and they didn't get drunk
they were paid as well or better (if they were worth a crap) than gov workers - and gov workers also drank
public wide debauchery is not a good deal though - things go down the toilet when it happens
