This cant be good.
I can only imagine what prices these places will charge to see a movie 5-10 years from now.

What's a movie theatre?

It's difficult to understand why people even bother with movie theaters anymore.

High prices, filled with street vermin, and most of what's being shown is complete garbage. Save your money.

Your observations are correct about AMC/Regal domination and the U.S. Justice Department agrees. Looks like it's time for some trust-busting: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-justice-theaters-20150416-story.html

Also, I haven't set foot in a movie theater in 10 years. Why bother when we are in the golden era of TV. All Hollywood pumps out now are remakes of remakes geared to teenage boys.

What about movie theaters when they're empty/nice places? Also, you're probably yet another bland hater of modern society.

They are still shit. $12.50 for a movie that has 30 minutes of commercials? Fuck that.

My wife and I decided years ago to stop going to theaters. We're not the
sorts who need to see every movie when it's released. Instead, we subscribe
to some premium cable channels and stay home and enjoy the show. I can
make all the popcorn I want far cheaper than what I'd pay in a theater,
I can drink beer and make all the wisecracks I want and nobody will be
offended. I don't have to listen to screaming kids and if I want to take
a whiz I can do so in a bathroom that I know is clean. I like the Playboy
Channel too.

First off, movie theaters are way nicer, are places to meet people, and you can watch movies earlier. Pricing isn't a problem, and where else can you get food/movies in the same place?

Also, quality. TVs just provide a 50' something screen, while movie theaters are gigantic. Screaming kids, for me, I have never encountered them. Why don't you go see for yourself?

I have a 74" curved screen with super HD and a 7 speaker home theater system. It beats the shit out of any theater. As stated above, I can do what I want when I want. Get trashed, Piss, shit, eat, fart, yell, fuck, WHATEVER.
