Is there anyone who is disappointed with the Springfield Whole Foods hot bar? What looks good there after I take it home tastes like high end dog food.

Did it come in a 40 pound bag, with a picture of a dog on it?

If you're talking about the WF on OKM Rd, then yes. It's become unappealing over the years, especially since WF opened in Fairfax. That WF is worth the trip.

This is true! I don't know how they do it, same with Fairfax location tho, the food looks like it would be delicious, then you take a bite and it is bland and awful, maybe its healthy or something, but not good tasting...

Yes, I agree the Springfield location is in desparate need of a new hot bar. The food just doesn't compare to the Fairfax location which I think, despite the negative comments, is a heck of a lot better than what you receive from other buffets. Compared to places like OCB, Golden Corral, even Wegmans, Whole Foods is delicious! I eat at the Fairfax location a lot, very wonderful.

Go to Shoppers down the road, great hot bar. Better prices too.

Personally, I think Wegman's sucks. The parking lot is always packed and its a pain in the ass to get in and out, thanks to its weird and inefficient design. The produce is usually wilted and nasty, and the place seems to be crowded all the time. Prices are nothing special either.

Comparing Whole Foods to Wegman's or a Chinese buffet is comparing apples and oranges....and kumquats. Whole Foods is a health food store with healthier options than one finds at other hot/salad buffets.

my opinion of the Vienna newly designed buffet and hot bar is they've transitioned from health food to a prettier version of Shoppers Food Warehouse hot bar

I too have found the Fair Lakes Whole Foods hot bar and buffet to be superior but Wegman's is still the best even if the grocery selection is turning more and more to wegman's house brands

Try our Potomac...errr, Woodbridge or Sterling locations. The parking lots are much more manageable there. I'm hoping people stop coming to the Fairfax location so I can make the recommendation to my board that we shut down and re-launch elsewhere with a better parking lot.

I prefer Wegmans to Whole Foods. At Whole Foods, there's an employee in the shampoo/soap aisle who bombards me with "MAY I HELP YOU?" whenever I start down the aisle. She is very annoying and bombastic.

That's an old school Whole Foods that looks like it was crammed into an old Giant location. It's really too small for hot bars, etc.

Beware of the roaches in Springfield the store is full of them for sure.

I saw a ton of them at the chipotle there in vienna. BEWARE

The Springfield Whole Foods Market did not renew their leasing and will be closing in early 2016. We are in talks with Mom's Nature Food Store to replace them.

Will there be a new one opening or will they be moving to an area like central springfield where they are more accessible?
