Prince George’s County police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Oxon Hill that killed two and injured a third.
At about 2 a.m. Monday, an SUV traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway toward Oxon Hill Road crashed into a guardrail and a light pole, said Officer Nicole Hubbard, county police spokeswoman.
The driver, James Monroe Henderson, 45, of the 3400 block of Rickey Avenue in Alexandria, Va., and passenger Aayoni Williams, 30, of the 600 block of Maskell Street in Alexandria, Va., were pronounced dead at the scene, Hubbard said.
A third passenger, whose information has not been released, received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, Hubbard said.
Police believe speed played a factor in the crash, but no other information was immediately available, Hubbard said.
