Severe Thunderstorms This Evening, High Wind, Hail

Severe thunderstorms are possible in the D.C. region on Monday afternoon and evening as a low pressure system approaches from the west.

Timing: Most likely 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hazards: The main risks are damaging winds (55 mph or greater) and large hail (1+ inches in diameter), though a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

Action level: Stay aware, monitor your weather sources.
