http://www.wusa9.com/news/virginia/article/288333/188/1-dead-in-I-66-ramp-crash

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police say one person is dead after an accident on the Potomac Parkway at the I-66 exit ramp.

Officials say 25-year-old Joshua Hans Beach of Arlington, Va. was killed when he lost control of his 1999 Porsche Carrera while attempting to take the ramp toward Virginia.

The vehicle struck a raised median Sunday at approximately 1:45 a.m. before rotating clock wise, traveling across the exit lanes and striking the guardrail/jersey wall combination, according to police.

The Porsche then flipped over, driver's side down, and landed on its roof where it continued to slide across the exit lanes.

The crash is currently under investigation.

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department's TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.

I'm sure speed, alcohol or drugs were in NO way factors. The car just went out of control by itself. Cue his "friends" who will tell you what a great and generous guy he was.

At least he didn't kill anyone else.

Hmm, that's a pretty fun turn to take, I usually cut in past the painted lines because it's straighter/quicker. There's a huge barrier on the left side. I can definitey see how someone would be having fun on that curve and swerve off into the barrier..

This is very tragic! A 1999 Porsche Carrera is beautiful car and it sounds like it messed up bad.

RIP Carrera :(

A 99 Porsche 911 wouldnt exactly break the bank.

Yes, I believe a Fast & Furious wanna be is the culprit here. He wanted to be with his hero Paul.

Shame, shame, shame. You people are so insensitive. It's pathetic how people think they can hind behind a computer screen and write such terrible things about someone. Josh was anything but a prick and regardless of what caused his accident, his family and close friends can read this site and see such heartless and thoughtless comments. Have some respect. Would you want some random, judgmental stranger writing such cruel things about you if you died? Or if you were the mother or father who just lost their child and reading this? How would you feel? For those who have nothing kind to say, get a life and karma is a nasty bitch. Rest in peace, Josh. You had a lot to offer this world.

Yes, he may have been drinking and speeding (or he may not), and fortunately no one else was involved, but he's still a young man who lost his life from a momentary lack of judgement. Sad for the family and the waste of a young life.

Fuck you assholes. You didn't even know him. He was more of a man then you'll ever be. So while I watch his family mourn the loss of their loved one, you can sit at home on you pathetic little ass and write hateful things about someone you don't know. Why? Because apparently you have nothing Better to do with your lives because you are worthless to society. No one will miss you when you're dead. I agree with the previous comment the karma is a nasty bitch and I hope it jumps up and bites your dick off.

I can't believe all the hate I am ready. I am Josh's cousin and let me start off by saying, if you didn't know him you have no room to judge him. He was no prick, he was a gentle soul. As for owning a Porsche, he worked so hard for that car... It was his life... He deserved it. He never had anything just handed to him ... I remember when he started mowing lawns just to save money for things he wanted. He knew how to save yet still enjoy life. A part of me is now forever gone in this tragic accident. The hurt of knowing that I cannot just pick up my phone and text him to see how he is doing ... 25 is too young to die. And all you worthless filth that have nothing better to do than write hate, I hope Karma comes back an bites you in the ass. Rest in peace my beloved cousin! I miss you so much, words can't express how bad I hurt

I think I actually saw a car flip coming off that exit about 10 years ago. We were leaving a bar and heading out of the city and hear this horrible noise and look up to see some fast car rolling over. People should be more careful..

Hey, buddy, I'm sorry your cousin passed. It's unfortunate that he had to go at such a young age.

Do yourself and your family a favor and don't use this site as a place to mourn.

There is a long-standing tradition on this website to torment people who die in the area. There is no moderation, so anything goes. Just don't pay attention to any of it and don't respond.

I was just making a point that he worked hard to save up money to earn that car. He bought it and fixed it up. He lived for more than just that car. He was a family guy! He worked hard through college graduated and got a great job in DC. It's not worth arguing anymore about this. He still died... He is gone. My family is mourning his loss and we wish that everyone would respect that. What if his younger sisters were to see all this hate that is posted about him when the individuals don't even know him personally. How about you imagine loosing someone close to you.

Karma may or may not bite these peoples' dicks off... But I'm confident that anyone who would spew such vile and hateful things about someone's dead son/brother/cousin/friend etc. Is a miserable and sad person that's already living in a hell of their own making. So... Have fun with that, guys and gals. At least there are people mourning Jossh. More than I can probably say for when you die.

That's not a'99 Carrera. A 1999 Carrera is probably one of the ugliest (and therefore least desirable) of the genre. It's also worth around the same as a riding mower.

Thats all there is to it. His need for speed did him in. Good thing a innocent driver was not in his line of out of control car fire.

Case in point: Late 1990's Jim Mckay Jr. left his fathers dealership in Fairfax City about 8:15 in the summer, He was heading to Occoquan to his docked boat. About 8:45 pm in a brand new dealership Camero convertable he lost control just south of the entrance to Burke Lake Park where the road at the time was two lanes and had a slight curve. He traveled into the oncoming lane crossed it and impacted trees on the other side of the road at about 90 mph, his body was ejected forcefully into the trees and he died instantly. The car was of course totaled. By the grace of god no one was in the other lane as he crossed into their lane.

I don't understand where you're getting your information... How do you know he had a "need for speed" (by the way, your cliche little rhymes are just charming.) it was already mentioned in this thread that didn't even have a prior speeding record
