Can anyone offer a succesful legal method to rid my life of a barking dog in my neighborhood? The owners seem unconcerned over the noise complaint in their yard.

I looked into this myself. Basically the dog has to be barking during overnight hours 11PM-6AM for FFX county to do anything. You need to document how often and when this is happening and then file a formal complaint.
It was easier for me to just ask the owner for some consideration.

I got rid of my last home because of doucebags like you , some people work at night and when you were off you could never leave your windows open with out feeling like you lived in a kennel. There are plenty of inconsiderate dipshits to go around in this county

She is not yelling at your kids playing in the yard - she is yelling at the damn dog who is probably barking his head off as a result of the kids playing. Don't try and tie the two together to build some sort of sympathy for the situation. Regardless of the time of day, your neighbors have the right to peace and quiet. P.S. Go over there and kick the dog as hard as you can about 5 or 6 times, then punch it really hard in the face, then in future when it barks just wave your dust at it and it will stop.
This type of reinforcement may need to be repeated to ensure maximum learned behaviour.

Back on topic, I have a dog above me in my condo that barks constantly... and I mean constantly! It sits by the exterior window and if a fkn' ant walks on the glass it barks. Never seen anything like that, & I like dogs... but this is just ridiculous. On the Dot every morning at 4:30AM this fker lights it up waking me and my girl because the bark comes through the vent system. I had to shove sht in there to calm the noise, I knocked on the door to tell the residents a few times but they're never home, left a note once to have them keep it down with that thing. Not sure what else to do... however to the OP I suggest just telling the person. Calling the cops on a dog is a little ridick.

We have been dealing with our neighboors two dogs barking at all time for over a year and a half. Asked them politely to do something about it, they did not do anything at all. We have three kids, could not sleep not to mention during the day you can not live in this house it is so loud. Filed numerous complaints with hoa, they asked for prove, we gave it to them, tapes and tapes, and at the end they said they cant do anything about it. Police was called out a lot of times, they cant do anything about it, where we live there is no laws against dog barking. So I guess they can bark all they want and nobody cares. We have contacted a lawyer, most of them wont even take the case because it s hard to win and costs up to 15 thousand . He wanted 6 upfront. We tried to resolve this somehow with them lately but all they did was to humiliate us and screamed calling us bitches. We are finally selling this house but our real estate agent already called us once to inform us that one of the people looking at the house realized there is a problem, so now I cant even sell this house. I m tired, cant sleep, stressed out, and do not know what to do. Please help.

We know a couple who are friends with us and they work from from 6 am to 7pm. They leave the three dogs out all day. The dogs bark a lot! I feel sorry for the neighbors who live next door.

I used to live next to what I call the "thin, sticky part" of Idaho. Defiantly different from Boise
Didja know Boise is home to largest Somalian community outside of Somalia? Yep!
Boise is one of the most underated cities in this country, imho
but like I said, I didnt live anywhere near there - WAY closer to Coeur d'Alene (which is like 400 miles away LoLz)
anyways, plenty of privacy for those who get all crazy from barking dogs, and those "annoying kids" who DARE play in their own yards in the daytime o_0

I am going through a similar situation but with 2 young children over me, I have put off with a suit with the hopes that the adults come to their senses and stop being arrogant. I'm in the position where I can clean them out along with one of them losing their job. Noise disturbance has many definitions:

Suggest that you poison the mangy mutt. If you get caught first offense will cost $1500 plus court costs. Please use a poison that will result in a quick death. The dog should not suffer because the owner is a dick.

This is the EXACT reason I don't want to live in town.. I own a house and have a yard so dogs can play freely since Boise seems to think they need to be on a leash every where else. If someone is in my yard playing with my dog and she wants to bar awesome if it's in the middle of the day! We are SO concerned with what other people are doing it's irritating, most of the time I feel like people are just LOOKING for something to complain about! In response to the person with kids and a dog, good for them! They are getting outside and enjoying themselves.. these idiots that can't stand a little noise in the middle of the day need to ease up!

There are constantly inconsiderate bastards driving on the street in front of my house. I can't sleep until noon! EGADS! Please help!
I live in Chantilly and the inconsiderate Air Traffic Controllers constantly send planes over my house! It's so loud I can't even hear the Ellen Show!! I've taken proof to the HOA and the police but the won't do anything because I'm a miserable cunt! Help me!!!!

One of my dogs barks when I leave the house, so I purchased this from Amazon and he doesn't bark anymore. It produces a high pitch sound whenever a dog barks frequently. Since I use it in the house, I have turned the sensor to the lowest setting. You could place it outside and point it to the direction of the barking dogs:

Amen. I love dogs, but hate (most) dog owners. Occasional barking is fine, but dog owners who think it's ok for their dog to bark loudly and regularly are a-holes. And they don't know it or don't care.

Few years back I had this guy that lived 3 houses down from us. He worked long hours, and had 3 sons. He also had 7 large mixed breed dogs. They were friendly dogs, but each was over 100lbs, and they ate and drank on an industrial level. The feedings were a 25lb bag of Gravy Train per day, and they drank gallons of water from a small blue hard plastic kiddy swimming pool. This all was contained in the back yard with a standard chain link fence, and because these dogs were 4 wheel drive with the optional extra large toe nails there was no grass at all. During the dry part of the summer they would stir up dust with their running and playing doggie grab ass, and when it rained it became a stinking mud pit.
Stinking-
The guy who owned the dogs, and had the 3 sons never made any effort to clean up the countless piles of dog shit, and those 3 sons also made no effort to clean up the toxic piles.
My family and a few friends were doing the summer thing on our patio with the grill and cold beer. It had rained the day before, and the moisture activated the stench. It was so bad we took everything to the front yard, but the stink was in our memories.
Thank god they moved to another city, but it took 2 years, and professional landscapers to get grass growing on that super fund site.
I didn't call the county because I was afraid the dogs would end up in the shelter, and be put down.
