Where to meet new people

Hello everyone,

I am new to the place. And I would like to know if there's any particular place or places where you can meet new people, acquaint myself with a few neat girls. Not sure how to explain this, but I'd like to make new friends and the sort. I'm in Fairfax, I reside around the Fairfax Circle area. Decent people that is haha. Platonic should be neat.

I am a guy. How do you mean by 'kids'? Uh well, I'm 26 if you must know.
I love music, as in bands from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Soda Stereo, The Kinks, etc. And I enjoy reading books as well, like Shakespeare, Chaucer, Wodehouse, Trollope, Jonathan Swift, Alexander Pope, and the sort. I do absolutely love football, it's quite obscene too, my love for football.

Thank you all for the help so far, but I'm terribly sorry, but could you please explain a bit more about this Lamb Center or the other places you have mentioned?. Absolutely sorry, I don't mean to trouble you folk, but it's quite dreary and dull here.

Try the Rest Area on I-66 at the Fairfax / Prince William County line. I understand the west bound side has a Shakespeare In The Park Festivals on Tuesday and Saturday nights behind the men's restroom. Start time about 10pm.

Fairfax Hospital maternity ward nursery is a great place to meet "new" girls. The problem is that the girls don't actually get interesting until they are at least 21 years old.....

Volunteer at your local fire station, or better yet go to Fire Station 22 in Springfield. They are always looking for new volunteers, and there is one red headed female volunteer who loves getting acquinted with newbies!
