Just curious about why Fairfax County is such a trash heap. Do we need to raise fines to $1000 (first offense) like some parts of the U.S. have done. DC is cleaner than Northern Virginia. I know from going to high school football games that most Fairfax County students are slobs. Just look at all the trash in the "student" section of the bleachers. I guess that's how the parents raised them - like pigs. OINK!

I believe the solution is to impose a law where if any person is caught littering, the item improperly disposed of is to be stuffed in the offenders butthole. Gum wrapper, no big deal, dead car battery........

The bad areas are around Annandale where they day laborers stand around.

The Fairfax County Police don't do a damn thing except ride around in their cars eating donuts. They don't want to offend anyone (illegal immigrants) or Sharon Bulova and the rest of the useless FFX County Council clowns would get mad at them. (Sharon sees these day laborers as future voters once President Obama can figure out a way to get them citizenship.) Viva la Fairfax County!! As Corey said when they threw them out of Price William county - they don't have to go back to Mexico - they can go to Fairfax County.

You can raise fines to a million dollars, but if they're not enforced then it doesn't matter. And that's clearly the problem now.

I agree how can they enforce it?

I do creek clean up each spring and fall and am shocked how much is clogging the creeks and forests when we clean the same spots each year. Some people just don't care.

Democrats litter the most. Go to any area where Blacks live, who vote 92% Democrat, and it will be by far the trashiest part of the area.

Go to any Democrat run city, and all you see is trash. Democrats seem to like trash. Sometimes Democrat trashmen will strike in Democrat-controlled cities, and trash will build up for days, and the Democrats just love it.

I'll stick around with Republicans any day of the week. They're clean, and don't litter.

I can relate, we live in Centreville. I was out one afternoon cleaning up trash in our yard and some truck drives by, the passenger chucks a 6 pack of empty glass beer bottles in a holder out his window into our yard. We find so much shit in our yard on a weekly basis, getting tired of it.

Do you by any chance live at the Centreville dump? It may explain a few things.
