Odd thing happened during lunch break today.

I was on 50 at Stonecroft heading toward 28. Two cops on motorcycles pull into the middle of the intersection and hold their hands up, stopping traffic. We all wait for about 2 minutes until 7-8 other cops on motorcycles drive through escorting a black tourbus-looking thing with S&S Limousines on the side, then the 2 cops ride off with them. Any ideas?

It's called a "motorcade".

They are pretty common. Probably a dignitary. they get right-of-way and a police escort.

It was probably popular rock group Journey in town for a 4H show or something.

Why would they get someone that sounds totally different? It's not like Journey is putting out any new stuff now. So, if they got someone new and sounded different, then no one would come see them live because that's not the way Journey is "supposed to sound".

I think it was Al Sharpton's bus rolling through. He was heading to the White House. He's going to sleep there until Obama gets back from his golf/surf vacation
