Interested in high Taxes? Look at the surpluses. Look up...google CAFR for any county. Why are taxes so high when there are surpluses?

Several current Board of Supervisor members are expected to not enter the race for another BOS term in 2015.

Run in the mason district. penny gross is a waste of a seat. The old fart has fallen asleep in BOS meetings, she hasn't accomplished anything in the 20 years she has filled the seat and her staff is an elitist joke.

The best things we have in this county are paid for with tax dollars. If anything we need to raise taxes about 7% and we need the car tax back in full force. The car tax is the best tax in the world.

The car tax is in full force. It just isn't being paid directly by the taxpayers. Localities have the power under the Virginia Constitution to tax cars, and they still do so. Under the car tax relief program a portion of that tax is paid by the state. If you look at your personal property tax bill, it shows the entire tax imposed, the amount of car tax relief and the net you pay. Of course the state is getting the money to pay it from income and sales taxes we taxpayers pay to the state.

I won't be satisfied until the tax rate is 100%. Then the government can give to people according to their needs. People are the property of the state and should expect to serve the state while being allowed to live here. Vote Democrat and help transform the USA into a workers' paradise!

I couldn't agree more.
Need new blood in Mason District. Penny has been in office FAR TO LONG!!

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is in desperate need of revitalization.
