County cooling assistance programs in effect

Fairfax County offers two programs for families that may need some financial assistance staying cool in the summer heat.

eligible low-income households with at least one person considered vulnerable to heat

Cooling assistance can be used to help with electric BILLS, REPAIR of a CENTRAL air conditioning system, the purchase of a whole-house fan or purchase and installation of a window unit air conditioner
