Pretty incredible, but I once came across an Asian woman who stopped dead in the left lane of I-66 Westbound at the Rt.50 exit (Fair Oaks Mall) and had her blinker turned on to go right so that she could make the exit. One motorist avoided slamming the abruptly stopped driver ahead of him/her and ran their car into the jersey barrier….You can’t fix stupid.

The worse are the ones that pull off on the shoulder, then when they try to get back on the highway, just casually pull out in front of everyone like they are leaving a parking spot.

And if you DO have to stop your car where it's blocking things, PUT YOUR ****ING FLASHERS ON. See, that's a signal to other drivers that you're aware that you're blocking traffic. And if you'd paid the slightest bit of attention to either Driver's Ed classes or to other cars on the road while you were growing up (and I'm using the term loosely), you'd already know this.

OK, I feel better now. I'm astounded by the number of people who just stop randomly -- not just on the Interstate -- adn then sit there and wonder why they get honked at!

Coming back on 495 from MD over the American Legion Bridge last Winter.

Guy in the right lane come to a complete stop.

He was reaching out the drivers window wiping the windshield with his hand.

Dumb ass could have drive less than 1/2 mile straight and he could have pulled of safely to do this.
