¶ It's the MOST wonderful time of the year¶....unless you're a Redskins fan

Ahh yes, once again we here in the DC metro area get to sit back and enjoy a roaring fire and a hot cup of cider.......and watch all the other happy fans who have teams going to the NFL playoffs and possibly to the Superbowl. Steeler fans, Cowboy fans, Patriots fans, Denver fans.... the list goes on and on. Even two teams (Atlanta & Carolina) who at best can finish 7-9 have a shot.

But here in Washington we are once again and as usual, left with the scraps on the table. Our bumbling fumbling stumbling Redskins won't be going anywhere....except on vacation. They will pack up their Range Rovers and Escalades and head out of town with their pockets stuffed full of money while we are left with empty beer cans and empty memories.

And come Spring we will once again hear the voices at Redskin Park rise in volume and proclaim "We have the pieces in place to make a Superbowl run". *Cough cough*, how many times have we heard this speech.

Thanks again Redskins and Danny for another miserable dysfunctional drama filled season. You guys know how to make a city proud!

Same story, different year.

But there are actually Redskin kool aid drinkers who are saying if they beat the Cowboys next weekend they will consider the season a success. This is what happens when you set the bar so low.

LOL, I love that. It so accurately represents the DC-area's #1 sports trait: senseless over-optimism. The entire DC fan base is like a bunch of 5-year-olds.

Also classic. I guess when a team (or, in DC's case, every team) sucks so badly year after year, all you can do is take some joy in beating a rival or two. 5-11 baby!

It does seem like every off season lately we get this message. My guess is it's just Danny's marketing scheme to get people to buy season tickets and come to FedEx to get raped.

Every spring when I hear Super Bowl talk, I tell Skins fans "Ah, you'll be out of the playoffs by Halloween."

Amazing how close my prediction is every year.

Well, I'm chugging a gallon of Redskins kool aid. What else is there to look forward too, for a Redskins fan, at this point in the season? Does this make a successful season? Hell no but there is still a great element of satisfaction in whipping the much hated Dallas Cowboy's asses twice in one season.

The skins will be playing a bunch of Cowboys backups next Sunday. If the skins don't win this they'll be an even bigger joke than everyone thinks.

Cowboys were projected to win 2 or 3 games this year. They've won 11 (possibly 12) games and the NFC East, and are going to the playoffs. Romo has the highest QB rating in all of football. How's that RG3 working out for you? Hahaha!!!!

It's pretty tough being a Cowboys fan, but it's nowhere near as horrible as being a skins fan. Jesus Christ I really feel bad for you people sometimes. I honestly do.

The Cowboys couldn't care less about the game against Washington next Sunday. They already have the NFC East title. I guess 12-4 might get them home field if they don't have it already. It will be like a pre season game as far as the Cowboys are concerned.

Skins jock sniffers can have their party if they beat the Cowboys, but the bottom line is this was another wasted disaster of a season. And with Gruden and Griffin forced to co exist next year, get ready for more of the same next year.
