That's from today's jobs report which showed over 300k jobs gained this month. The GOP has their head up their ass, especially our resident troll who thinks the numbers are being downwardly revised. Actually they consistently for the past year have underestimated the growth in the economy. Both the GDP numbers and job numbers themselves have seen consistent upward revisions the past 12 months. That is a signal that the economy is growing quickly as the instantaneous data available at the time is not fully capturing the amount of growth occurring. YTD we have gained an extra 1 million jobs compared to the initial estimated job growth of that month. That's a lot of jobs.

Establishment survey is heavily massaged since they can't record small- and mid-size business information. It also tends to lag the Household survey becuase payroll data lags actual layoffs by 1-2 months. Household survey shows no change in jobs over last month, 270K lost jobs without seasonal adj.
