I hate algebra 2! My teacher can't teach. This guy is going to failing me and he won't let me graduate if I ended failing this class. Why does my school has the worse teachers? The reason we all fail this class and sol is cause our teacher can't teach

Maybe your dumbass needs to pay attention in school instead of posting in class. Its not the teachers fault that he has a fool for a student. McD's has an opening for you.

If you want to find out why students at Mount Vernon score so low on SOL tests, start by looking at how those students did on the SOLs before they got to MVHS.

No matter how bad he is, I don't think "the worse math teacher" is the only problem here.

Back when I took Algebra II/Trig, I had a great teacher, but also, I wanted to learn what I could do with this subject. The best teacher can't teach someone who doesn't want to learn.

Some people found the subject harder than others. But even then, in the days before the internet, I don't think anyone failed that class.

If you feel that the teacher isn't teaching you something you need to know, or teaching in a way you can pick up the information, you have Google, something I didn't have back in 1976. You would be better off searching there than posting on FFXU, griping about how you can't learn.

Seems like English is a much more immediate problem than Algebra 2.

Leave the poor kid alone. Somebody has to flip those burgers and deliver those pizzas.

OP, really? Which teacher? Is it just you who's failing or is everyone failing?

If you're taking algebra in your senior year then perhaps math isn't your strong suit. Not trying to be mean, but pretty much everyone else was done with algebra in ninth grade, some even in 8th grade with honors math.

Mr.Roache, his cool but he can't teach and the reason I am in Algebra 2 my senior year is cause Scheerbaum failed me when I took geometry Sophmore year. and I had ms.Jenksins last year so yah. and Yah like 1/3 of the class is like failing. Who are you? If you went to Mount Vernon you would know some of our teachers suck

The OP is referencing Algebra II, not Algebra I. Very few students are done with Algebra II in ninth grade....and they are probably at TJ.

I never said the teachers don't suck. I was just trying to figure out who it is. And if 1/3rd of the class is failing, which is high, then 2/3rds must be passing. What are they doing differently from the 1/3rd so that they are passing? And I know the issues with the math classes at school, but every subject has issues and it's become up to the students to take their destiny in their own hands. And sorry, I missed it in your original post that you were taking Algebra 2, not Algebra. Sorry about that.

Many kids will take Algebra in 7th grade, Geometry in 8th and either Algebra 2 or Algebra 2/Honors in 9th. Finishing Algebra 2 before 9th grade is harder, because few elementary schools offer Algebra 1 in 6th grade.
