va GOV worker sentenced for EMBEZZLEMENT

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) -- A Ridgeway woman faces up to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to embezzling from a rescue squad.

Susan Smith is scheduled to be sentenced in February.

Media outlets report that the 44-year-old Smith pleaded guilty Friday in Henry County Circuit Court to three felony embezzlement counts. She faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

Smith was accused of embezzling more than $4,000 from the Ridgeway District Volunteer Rescue Squad while serving as the organization's acting treasurer. Prosecutors say she used the money to pay utility bills.

Smith has repaid the money.

it's obviously most gov workers in the USA (and huge numbers abroad) are screwing over the "lower denizens" with pay 3x-15x what denizens get

THAT'S MORE THAN 4K / YEAR - ALL OF THEM
