Police were called to the 4200 block of Chesire Station Plaza at 5:11 p.m. Oct. 4 to investigate reports of an unattended infant in a vehicle, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
Police arrived and located the baby, an 8-month-old girl, who was being evaluated by rescue workers.
Police determined that the baby’s mother, Estela Patricia Rojas, had left her unattended in her vehicle for 40 to 45 minutes.
The baby was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, Perok said.
