I've heard two rumors from campus: one is that there was a gunman on campus in a parking lot and another that someone reported seeing a shotgun in the back of someone's car. Other than that, no events, apparently everyone safe.

You want guns, that's fine: obviously the rest of society isn't going to be able convince you as to how stupid/dangerous that is. But can you at least respect that wishes of property owners who don't want you to bring them on? We'll respect your property, and you ours; is that fair?

He wasn't an active shooter. Obviously if he was, he wouldn't have left his gun in the car. Just a dumbass guntard who who's trying to be defiant against those damned libs who tell him he can't bring his gun to work. In fact he probably brought it because he was thinking just like you: that he'll be a hero and take out any shooter coming through the building. Ironic, that.

No roaming halls and to take this seriously. There was nothing in our office's email that said stay away from windows, privacy because the buildings are basically all windows. I have also received several messages sassing we will receive an FDA message soon, but haven't received that yet. There was an all clear and the people in the 1st floor of building 22 said it was all quiet the entire time.

Actually, all we know is that you don't know shit and are simply full of conjecture and fantasy. It isn't NRA bullshit, it's called the Second Amendment. If you don't like it, repeal it. Until then, live with it. FWIW, I don't even own a firearm, but I know how to read and I understand the meaning of the Second Amendment.

Now go check with Brady, MAIG, or VPC to see how you are supposed to respond, parrot boy.

Little bit 'o projection there on your part. We all know the only people who benefit from shooting sprees are firearm and ammo manufacturers and sellers, and guntards. Nothing gets them more excited than a good spree to scare dumbasses into buying more guns and bullets

Yeah, they're always the first ones to the camera. It isn't projection, it's reality. You can almost hear the disappointment in you about there not being an active shooter.

Second Amendment was a tradeoff in the delicate dealing to get the Constitution ratified. Southern states were worried that Northern states would try to end slavery by disarming their state militias. Those were all the whites had to protect and defend themselves against the real possibility of murderous slave uprisings. The Amendment had only to do with bearing arms (a military action in the parlance of the day), and nothing to do with carrying weapons (a civilian action in the parlance of the day). You of course did not know any of that because the flipping NRA never explained it to you properly. They just fed you their bullshit version of history.

That there is an individual right to possess a firearm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. Everything else is fair game for limitation.

I grew up around guns all of my life. My grandparents lived in Mintgomery County and always taught me the importance of gun safety. It was years before I shot a firearm. I was taught where the safeties were, why I would need use to a gun, what to do if I saw one on the street, etc. it wasn't until I was mentally, physically and emotionally ready that I shot a firearm. It's a great feeling to know that I can protect myself and my family against an intruder.

Believe it or not, guns save people too. My grandmother who lives in Texas was being followed by a group of young men around the store and followed her out to her car. She flashed her revolver and you bet they walked off. She didn't shoot anyone.

For those that believe people who own guns are stupid, rednecks, extreme republicans; please keep your opinions to yourself. Gun owners aren't spouting hate out of their mouths, so why are you? I would also recommend taking a gun safety course at your local shooting range. You will learn a lot. A lot more than lobbyists and politics and media will teach you.

No need to. I know what the rulings said and what they meant. You don't have a clue. You think Heller and McDonald were victories. They were setbacks that open the doors to painting guns into the corner. But keep renewing your NRA membership and all.

Update from the DHS National Operations Center: NO ACTIVE SHOOTER.

Mobile Patrol at the FDA facility in Silver Spring spotted a rifle inside an unoccupied car in the parking lot. A registration check revealed it belonged to an employee. The employee was not immediately located so the facility was placed on lock-down. The employee was later located and questioned by police. The rifle in question turned out to be a BB gun. The employee was released.

Damn. Just a BB gun? We needed a blood bath to advance our agenda!

Statistically, that is the worst thing you can do. Confronted with the presence of an armed intruder, your safest actions are first to leave if you can, and second to hide. All playing Jane Wayne will get you is lying in a pool of blood on the living room carpet.

Can you imagine non-lethal devices that would have had the same effect?

30,000 per year die from gunshot wounds. Another 150,000 are injured seriously enough to require a visit to an ER. Because of the damage done by bullets tumbling around inside a person's body, gunshot wounds are among the most expensive injuries to treat. Want to reduce health care costs? Ban guns.

This is what happens when you hire immature Americans who play paintball and shoot bb guns at squirrels for fun. You would never catch an H1b with such ridiculous things for amusement.

Yours convince me that you are nothing but another uninformed gun-nut asshat whose faculties have been severely diminished through the naked propaganda efforts of the NRA and GOA. All you can do is try to play internet tough-guy. You don't have an actual argument to make or the skill to make one if you did. The Second Amendment is NOT what you've been told and told and told it is, and Heller/McDonald did not create an expanded right to own or carry weapons.

Some libtard saw a photo of a gun on the cover of a magazine in someone's car, and went into a frenzied panic. That's what this was all about.

Hundreds of people terrorized and thousands of dollars wasted because some jackass left a BB gun within sight in his car.

I don't own a firearm and have never been a member of the NRA or the GOA. You have made no rational argument. Your reading of the jurisprudence on this matter is flawed and it started with your original assertion. I really don't care if you admit it or not.

La-la-la-la-la. Of course you don't care. You are happy in your ignorance. Lots of people are. They are all still ignorant.

Just look in the mirror. Keep telling yourself "Everything else is fair game for limitation."

Wow, you are completely ignorant. Guess what? Guns are not going anywhere. I am well trained with gun safety and training. I know exactly what to do if an intruder comes in. It won't be me or my family. I am not one to hide in my own home.

My grandmother protected herself. Like I said she DID NOT shoot. Just another liberal not READING correctly because of your common core bull. And where exactly are you getting your statistics because they are completely incorrect.
Get yourself educated on guns because you clearly aren't. People kill people, a gun is a tool they use. People also stab one another.

And the reason our Health care costs so much is NOT because of guns. It's because of Obamacare. :-) Yet again, get your facts straight and stop getting your information from yahoo and Wikipedia
