Verizon FIOS - any deals?

Our 2 year contract is about to expire and we are asking for deals to renew - so far they are pretty pathetic. We are probably going to let the contract expire and shop around. Last time we did this after a month or two they considered us 'new' customers and gave us a much better deal. What is your experience?

I just dealt with them. Checked around to see what the best deal would be for my existing services. Called to cancel and like they always do they make you an offer in order to keep you. I was able to add a DVR and reduce my bill.

They all do this. I called DISH last year and said your service is TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE and I just got a mailing from DirecTV ( I really didnt) and I've already arranged a switch and I need to know what to do with your god damn equipment.

I ended up with 12 months half price and 12 PPV certificates.

I will most likely be pulling this scam again in early 2015. Not sure if you can pull it off more than once.

They offered me 20 bucks off a month for two year if I locked in . I think I can do better . I am going to try for something better.What about Cox are they the same

Both Verizon and Cox offer their best deals only to "new" customers, and screw over their existing customers. It works for them because most Americans are too lazy and stupid to be bothered switching services. They may throw you a bone if you call to cancel, but usually they still won't offer you their best deals.
