Commute from Aldie to Reston

Hi,
Do you know how far Aldie is from my workplace in Reston. I know you have to take Route 606 north through Dulles and Herndon to reach Reston but I was wondering the approximate commute time being that I recently purchased a home in Kirkpatrick Farms.
Thanks,
Gerry

If only there was some sort of computer-based tool that would show you a map...naw, that'd never work.

Best thing to do is make the trip daily for test runs starting at a different time each day. Get the county maps books at the local bookstores in the malls, check these for routes to take and to determine where the alternate routes are possible. Some main routes are riddled with construction projects that last for years to extend the union workers continued employability. Some days rain + construction closures + wrecks will necessitate you taking alternative routes. Listen to the radio to find out up to the minute road/accidents/etc closures on all the possible routes you can take. It will be a matter of "try it, test it out, and see what works best". If you are going against normal rush hour traffic, you will find many fewer headaches. Going with traffic, no matter what route you take you will feel totally screwed. Best solution with that I have found to be flex-time hours from your work if they will allow that. Zipping in at 5 am is a whole different experience than sitting in a massive 20 mile long parking lot on route 50 at 6 AM-9AM,
