As Rush so aptly stated, we didn't vote them out because we want to compromise with them, we want to STOP what they're doing and undo everything we can. Let them remember...Elections have consequences.

Rush would sign the death warrant of the Republican Party. If they continue to play the blockading ideologues with their heels dug into the ground for the next two years, they will be swept away in 2016 and never heard from again as more than a regional party. No amount of Koch brothers money will save them.

The only choice the Republicans have that includes their long-term survival is to back down and start working on the things that Obama has said they should be working on for the past four years. Comprehensive tax reform, comprehensive immigration reform, pushing toward a comprehensive national energy policy, tending to health care reform, reining in the insane and harmful War on Drugs. Those are all important things. Clown shit like defunding NPR or gutting Medicare is not.
