Damn.. first the guy with the gun behind Kmart- where the cops shoot the dog, now this. Fairfax City is Da hood! Funny how all this started when the 29 diner re-opened.

Looking at the pictures from the other poster...which one of these cops do you think is wearing swat gear?

I work in the office complex. We were told that it was an "armed and dangerous" female in a white SUV stopped on Eaton behind Hooters heading westbound. It was not near the office building with the abortion clinic area. Nothing on police website.

From what I've heard:
There was an old guy who looked like a Mall Santa Claus who apparently garnered the attention of police for some kind of traffic-ish infraction in his truck
Rumor has it he was mouthing off and somehow it came about that he had a gun or guns in the vehicle I'm not sure if this happened on Eaton or elsewhere. Eventually, the SWAT team got pulled into play.
Finally they got the guy out of the truck, had him sitting on the back of it mouthing off, smiling, etc.
I also heard they collected a/some gun(s) supposedly of the shotgun variety... and then he was sent on his way.
There were no police reports filed.
So, basically -- a major display of force with what seems no reported violations, hence no reports on the FFX City website.
