Commercial Robbery in West Springfield area

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Sunday, September 28. Around 10:13 a.m. a man entered the CVS pharmacy, located at 9582 Old Keene Mill Road and handed a note to a clerk demanding pills. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as white, 20-29, with pale skin with acne, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The CVS mentioned is actually in Burke, in the Burke Town Plaza at the intersections of Old Keene Mill and Lee Chapel Roads.

The ratio seems to be 6 stories about nogs robbing to every 1 story about crackuhs robbing.

As the opiate abuse problem continues to grow, these incidents are going to start happening more and more here in NoVA. Outside of NoVA it's already in full swing (see Spotsylvania).

This is only the beginning of the problem. It is already happening down south like someone mentioned already.

I "knew" a few of those boys- they used to do petty stickup of their fellow druggies, but since EVERYONE these days are broke, and they have their addictions and need their meds and will do ANYTHING- so here come the stick ups and burgles.
