Police are searching for 20-year-old Luis Espinal, who is wanted in connection with an Aug. 24 robbery at the Cloverdale 7-Eleven in Dale City.
Police say Espinal, who last lived on Galt Court in Dale City, is one of two robbers who walked into the store at 2:04 a.m. and attempted to steal two cases of beer.
An employee was assaulted when he attempted to stop the theft, and one of the robbers implied he had a knife, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
On Sept. 2, detectives identified Espinal as one of the suspects and issued a warrant charging him with robbery. Police have been unable to locate him.
They are still trying to identify the second robber, described as 16 to 20 years old, black, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a light complexion and black hair.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700. Callers don’t have to give their names. Tips leading to arrest could earn a $1,000 cash reward.
