Man Dies in Construction Incident

Mason Police District - A worker died after he was struck by an asphalt roller in the 7300 block of Statecrest Drive around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 10.

The victim, Edgar Tobar, 40, of Woodbridge, was standing near a roadway at a construction site. Another employee was driving the asphalt roller on the road, lost control of the machinery and ran over Tobar. He was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition and pronounced dead.

Crash Reconstruction and Homicide detectives responded to the scene and determined no criminal charges will be placed. The investigation has been turned over to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.

I already posted this on Saturday evening in the off-topic section since the guy that died was from Woodbridge. His name appears hispanic. I guess this is one less illegal that we have to deport from PW county under the "Virginia Rule of Law."

Bring on the steam rollers.

The way those steamrollers fly around at 2MPH, the poor guy probably never saw it coming. And if he did, he would've had only about 10 minutes to jump outta the way. Sad, sad, sad.

Its sick how these comments just relate to him being hispanic, all these racist commemnts i'm pretty sure most of you are inbred skinheads right? I knew this man, he had 3 children and a wife and all you idiots care about is who is the funniest idiot. You can't even imagine how incredibly depressing this puts on his family, imagine that one of you're parents died and people just started making fun of the situation, you know how pretty shitty that feels on the person who lost their loved one?

Most of them are in jail or dead themselves by now. Stupid isn't a passport to much on the bright side of life.

Important Tips for the Stupid: Aristotle was not Belgian, the principle of Buddhism is not "every man for himself", and the London Underground is not a political movement.

"Road Rollers" (the proper name) max out around 10 MPH. Most of the Cats top out around 5 ~ 8 MPH.

25 MPH? I guess it's possible for one of the "vibrating" versions (Cat CS) for lighter soil use.

I feel your pain. Rest assured that some of us normal people are outraged by the insensitive comments here and are still grieving ourselves. BTW, are you hawt? Please post nude photos of yourself to help us get through this difficult time.
