This number seems to be calling around. It is American Verification Processing Solutions, 21515 Vanowen Street Suite 114, Canoga Park, CA 91303. People report having had problems with them.

They asked for someone I'd never heard of and got really upset when I would not give my name. If not a scam, then merely an annoyance!

NSA verifying phone numbers and trying to obtain voice prints of owners of interest for their national resident databases..
