New Silver Line Express - $5 Ride to Airport

Yes, there will be new bus service from Wiehle Avenue to the airport. A ride on the Silver Line Express will cost $5, less than half of the price of a trip on the Washington Flyer from West Falls Church. The new service will debut when the rail line opens.

Eh. Fairfax Connector 981 will take you on the same route for $1.75. The only difference will be two stops at Reston Town Center and Herndon-Monroe.

As a person who has used the 981, and had to wait at the time checks on those "two stops" I am happy there is going to be an express option. Will save atleast 20 minutes.
I for one want to see more express services. If it means having to pay more, then I am ok with that, still cheaper than parking or taxis in most cases

Metrobus 5A will get you there faster. From Lenfant plaza and rosslyn.

Departing at 6:00 PM on a weekday, run time for the 5A from L'Enfant Plaza to Dulles is an hour and three minutes. The fare is $6.
