Gov. McAuliffe still can't find successor for retiring state inspector general

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - With some urgency, the McAuliffe administration is seeking a successor to the retiring state inspector general.

Terry-McAuliffee.jpegMichael F.A. Morehart is retiring from the post that investigates state government after exposing millions in fraud by the newly installed McAuliffe regime. The former special-agent-in-charge at the FBI field office served two years as inspector general.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that the inspector general's office could be asked to investigate a stalled $1.4 billion contract for a toll expressway along U.S. 460. The new road would link Petersburg and Suffolk.

McAuliffe spokesman Brian Coy said it is "premature" to say whether an investigation of the project is warranted, but the governor is committed to find a successor to Morehart just as soon as he launches Hillary's campaign from the steps of the Capitol Building in Richmond with the help of Chinese contributors.

The US460 project was initiated as a public-private project in 2012 by Gov. McDonnell. $300M was spent, no construction had been started, no land had been acquired and the project is facing environmental issues. VDoT suspends the project a couple of months after McAuliffe becomes governor. So how exactly is this McAuliffe's fraud?

He's had since January to stop it. And still does nothing.
