He SHOULD be gone and I am sure he is. What he allowed to happen to Lanigan was inexcusable. He was a power mad idiot looking to fulfill a childhood wish to be some kind of hero by persecuting a good man unjustly. Good luck controlling a school when the parents and staff all hate you. It's just a shame that FCPS didn't fire him right away- they had to keep him to not look liable,

Principals have contracts.

They can't get out of them very easily.

Must be nice for him to be able to pack up and move on rather than, say, lose his pay for months, get thrown in jail, have his name and reputation slandered, suffer terrible emotional damage, and ultimately get forcibly removed from a school where he loved and was loved. Fuck him. I hope something terrible happens to him.

Call the school. They'll confirm it for you. Sure, there are contracts. However, with contracts do come exceptions. If an individual made a real mess out of the system, then there's grounds for getting the contract terminated early.

He failed to report a couple of minor complaints against a kid touching PE teacher at his school. The issue hit the spotlight when some kid accused the teacher of kid touching.

Because of the way he screwed up when trying to handle last year's fiasco at the school, they had no choice but to let him go. Not reassign him as they did a teacher there, but to send him packing, out of the county.

Fairfax Co. now has changed it's policy on how police handle school investigations because of this matter.

He be gone.

I believe the original principal passed away a few years ago. I could be wrong, though.

Jim Baldwin is an egotistical ass. He only cared about the kids when there was a camera around. It's a shame he didn't support Sean or listen to what he or the rest of his staff had to say last year.

The principal was not the problem FCPS and FCPD was the main problem. From what I was told by someone who works at the school the parents were on their way to the police station and stopped into the school to give the principal notice. He was out of the loop once the parents had made that decision. Yes, he may have not been the best but most of this was being handled way above him. That school has way to many teachers with personal problems to dump it on one person. One is even running a cell and security business during school hours. My friend can't wait to transfer and move to a quality school.

Does the FCPS internal investigator still go into the interrogation with the acccused, the attorney for the accused, and the FCPD? Believe it or not, that's what happened to me.

Curt Barbee, the FCPS guy, was in the interrogation room with me, my lawyer, and Detective Ordonez. Afterwards, since they got nothing from me (there was nothing to get because I had not done what I had been accused of doing),they got together and smeared my good name. I have healed some, but certainly not completely.

The criminal investigation should be separate from the internal matter.

I wonder how many others had the same experience.
