Nationals Opening Day Tomorrow at 1pm: Who's Going? Subway and Parking Hints? Places to Pre_Game Party?
Posted by: Nationals Opening Day ()

I'm going to my first Nationals Opening Day tomorrow. What can I expect? Are their some good places to pre-party? Bars? What should we definitely do Opening Day? Get a hot dog? Player signings?

Will there be any parking at the Vienna Metro around 11am?

Probably no parking at Vienna Metro at the time, same for Dunn Loring, West/East Falls Church too.

Well that sucks. What time do the lots full up in the morning? Maybe I can get there early for a parking space, head downtown for breakfast and pre-game it.

Extreme boredom. You'll have trouble staying awake. You'll be surrounded by tens of thousands of idiots who are only there for the alcohol.

Great cure for insomnia though!

In other words, you wish you could go but your wife told you to pickup the kids and clean the house.

Baseball is too boring to hate. It would be like hating watching paint dry.

Do you have any idea how many people die each year within 24 hours of watching a baseball game? The boredom literally shuts down their organs. Baseball is one of America's top killers. :-(

Actually it is work... well kinda. :) We are also going with some clients so we are actually getting paid to be watching the game and enjoy free stuff. Marketing write off for the company.

Gotta treat clients right!! :)

Mets 0-3
NYY 0-2 (may be 1-2 after tonite)

God hates Bill de Blasio, NYC and the liberals running it!

Nats "fans" will flock to the stadium as long as its trendy and the team is doing well. At the first sign of trouble, they will stay home.

Most people in the DC area don't go to games to watch. They go because it's cool to be scene there. They also make sure they tell everyone they're going.

The Nats do have some hardcore fans. But, like the Caps most fans just want to be a part of the scene.

Terrible sports town.

Park across the street from the south capital st entrance behind the vacant buildings immediately south of the Uhaul space. I did it 4 times last year. Little back alley of Q st.
