What would you pay for a house in Reston?

I am considering a home on a lake there, about 3/4-mile from Metro. House is in good condition in need of some updates. They are asking $900k. Worth it?

The prices in Reston are all over the place. There are condos for $300K on the lake and larger homes for $900K. How can one ask if 900K is worth it without knowing the facts on the property?

Given Reston, there's a good chance that it could be a great investment as the desire to live there is strong.

Houses are selling pretty fast in Reston. Best deals would be due south of the RTC (area still needs some gentrification).

Lots of planned low income housing in Reston right next door to your 900,000 home. Lots of crime right in your hood.

This is also true. Quite a bit of section 8 housing has been intertwined in communities such as Reston to promote more diversity as well as offer affordable housing that one normally wouldn't be able to achieve in $900k+ neighborhoods.

Diversity=MS-13 (sanctuary city), move west outside of Price william co. The drive is worth it and you will get more bang for your buck!
