WASHINGTON (WUSA9): Colder air makes a comeback during the workweek as a cold front clears out of the DC Metro early on Monday. Highs will be in the 40s on Monday and Tuesday, and it will be even colder on Wednesday. A weak storm system will bring some snow to the area on Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Right now, it looks like we could see an inch or of snow with by 6 AM Wednesday. Should the system ramp up, perhaps 2 to 3 inches are possible, but the lower amounts seem more likely as of Monday afternoon. The timing could cause some issues Wednesday morning. One thing about these late season snows, they have a hard time staying around and temperatures on Wednesday are expected into the mid 30s, so any road problems early shouldn't last too long.
