My guess is that Shady is one of those typical helicopter parents who had a son that he thinks should have been one of the starters before the 'transfers' arrived to take poor Johnny's spot that all those booster dollars paid for?

Those schools aren't even in the same district anymore. Edison is stacked and the private school kids can play. They should win D5 regionals, Wakefield will give them a run.

The districts are intact for the next two years across all sports. One half of the season is district play, the other half is the new conference schools. The team with the most wins against district opponents wins the district. The conference tournament is different.

The districts are irrelevant. The postseason is done based on conference standings, and the conference playoffs depend on who go on to regions and states. Most coaches hate that they are not playing conference teams twice, the district games are just exhibitions at this point, and they are not crowning district championships anymore.

I've heard the schools will acknowledge a district champion. Just like football there will be both district and conference champions. This is for two years until the next realignment.

Wakefield's transfers are from W-L and Yorktown. Conversely, Edison's transfers are from Flint Hill, Dematha, O'Connell and one public school, Potomac.

I never ever hear anyone mention Fairfax high's basketball team, but I thought they went farther last year than in many years prior. was that just a fluke? how can Fairfax have so little talent when pulling from such a large area?

What about the girls? They got 2 transfers in from outside of Fairfax County? Don't think either one of them moved into the county. At least on the boys side if they came from private school, they probably lived in the county all along.

Well I think you meant two years ago when they went to the regional final four. Last year they were the fourth seed and lost to Marshall 3 times in the course of their season and playoffs. This year they aren't very good either... They're however, fortunate to remain in the new conference with Langley, Madison, Mclean, and Stonebridge all going to have weak years.

Stonebridge isn't in the new liberty conference. Neither is Marshall.

Stonebridge isn't in the new liberty conference. Neither is Marshall.

Kids get suckered into going into private schools thinking they are going to get a scholarship. Edison never did that. Kids leave private schools all the time to go to a public school. Only reason why people are crying is because it's Edison. None of those sorry teams had a chance before the transfers. So before you dumb asses speak. Learn the facts.
