Wasn't this an attempted abduction rather than an abduction?

(And thank goodness the attempt failed.)

Nope, it became an abduction the second the guy grabbed her and pulled her off the sidewalk.

See § 18.2-47. Abduction and kidnapping defined; punishment. http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+18.2-47

Using the definition in A, I'd say that the guy "attempted by force and without legal justification seized and detained the victim with the intent to deprive her of her personal liberty". Class 5 felony, 1-10 years in the can.

These events brought to you courtesy of Sharon Bulova, protector of all things illegal! Be sure to thank Sharon for all the rapes, abductions, robberies, and murders perpetrated by her favorite constituents.

The locusts turn out quite well at her polling stations, that's for sure.

@vigilsntly: Stop and help? The perps are minorities. Whoever helps will be prosecuted, spend a million defending themselves, then be pursued to the grave by Holder for civil rights violations.

This government is on a search and destroy mission against good Samaritans. "stop and help" is the worst decision imaginable.
