CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police say that two men tried to rob two University of Virginia students at gunpoint on Tuesday night but the students fought back, sending the would-be robbers to the hospital, reports WVIR.
As you can see in the photos, 19-year-old Johnny Calderon Jr. and 18-year-old Gerald Allen suffered severe injuries to their faces in the beating. Police told WVIR that the suspects had to be transported to the hospital before they were taken to jail.
Police told reporters that the students are fine after the robbery along the 2300 block of Fontaine Avenue. Police say when they arrived on the scene, they found that the students had beaten the suspects and detained them.
Calderon faces charges for attempted robbery, pointing a firearm and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. Allen faces attempted robbery charges, according to police.

This is all just a big misunderstanding. My boy and his friend are saints. He would never do what he is accused of. I am sure they were only just trying to get back what is theirs. He was just defending himself from those thugs from UVA. This will all get straightened out in the courts of law.

Glad to see these two third-world thugs didn't even injure the victims and that they are off the streets (for a few weeks).
The only way this could have gone a little more smooth is if the victims had firearms/knives themselves and took care of the situation for good. We wouldn't have to pay for prosecuting these fuck-faces.

If the robber has the drop on you and is carrying a gun its tough to resist. However if you have something nearby that can be used as a weapon then use it and smash the robbers head in if he lets down his guard. I would not suggest this course of action in DC where the criminal is to be treated with great respect.

Most "pack muggers" are real tough when no one gets hurt except the victim.
What "pack mugger" is going to stick around when another one gets an eye socket shattered? If nothing else, that guy may squeal when the cops show up.
