Accident at Silverbrook & Crosspointe Dr. late pm 8/15

Anybody know what happened? Impact took out a very stout brick wall at one of the entrances to Crosspointe (by the pool.) No skid marks that I can see, but tire tracks in the grass make it look like a car practically flew off Silverbrook and made a very bad landing.

Nothing on the scanner. Did they send the helicopter to investigate?

Don't know about helicopter. Saw the mess this morning. I have a bad feeling this didn't end well for the driver of the car.

A Fairfax County Sheriffs deputy initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. Vehicle fled, driver lost control and crashed. Suspect fled the scene but was located shortly there after hiding in the woods and taken into custody.

Ticket's one thing. Price tag on the property damage is gonna be big. Plus the car might have been a Mercedes from the parts laying around. Guy's premium is gonna go thru the roof if they don't cancel him.

I came upon the scene within a minute of impact, police were arriving, the driver side door was open and the driver was slumped over the wheel. No one was fleeing.

The brick entranceway to the Crosspointe Communty in Fairfax Station was smashed by a car on Aug. 15, and Stefan Fekeci, a 21-year-old Fairfax County man, was arrested for reckless driving, disregarding a police command to stop and hit and run.

The entranceway is at the intersection of Crosspointe Blvd. and Silverbrook Rd.

Fekeci was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and was released after paying a $4,000 bond.
