For those of you that use a trash removal service:

Who do you use and how much do you pay? I assume they are all pretty much the same.. show up and take your trash and recyclables? Seems like price would be king here. Any thoughts? I only really knwo Ameircan Disposal Services but it seems there's 18 companies that can do FFX County (residential):

American Disposal here. $75 per quarter.

American and AAA are the two biggies. The other 16 service only very limited geographical areas.

Yea everything I've seen says AAA is way overpriced and keeps jacking prices up. I guess the limtied service area would be why I don't hear much about the others. Is your $75 for once a week or twice a week? Has American tried to increase your price?

Well, since you can't respect the customs of this forum...errr "blog", then we see no reason to respond with your requested data.

You're right...shit can, will and does change. All of which can be discussed on the previous thread.

I think CS Waste (aka Champion Services) covers the entire area. Call them to check though, 703-239-8540. Not sure about the other 15 companies.

$235 for the year, American disposal. Trash comes twice a week and recycling once.

Price is king but only for the honeymoon. Within 18 months they all normalize to about $90 per quarter. And now they charge a cancelation/bin recovery fee to discourage jumping from provider to provider.

Just bag it up and dump it in Burke Lake. If you are too lazy to do that get the guy hiring the illegals to dump it for you when he dumps the bodies. I've heard he only charges $10 a month.

AAA - $90 a quarter 2X a week. American gets $75/quarter?

AAA 64 quarter. I am locked in. Our HOA has a deal and unless you ask for it you wont get it. I have twice a week pick up and recycling. I love AAA. We have recycle points too. I get free stuff all the time because I recycle like crazy. go see what it is all about. recyclebank.com I just got 4 magazines for free for a year. I have tons of points. AAA has a pretty good site that explains recycling and it is interactive. Kids love it. I love a good thing when I see it. Most of the time I don't have time for stuff like this but I went from AAA to American and back to AAA.

Pay more for cops

I just signed up with Republic who bought AAA. $54 a quarter. I signed a 3 year contract which I can break with no penalty. Year 2 it goes from 18 a month to 20 and year 3 it's 22. I tried a couple of the smaller companies but if they don't already have someone in your area it becomes a hassle for them to pick up. Meaning they come early or late or skip you all together. The plus to smaller company is they don't charge an arm and a leg for extra stuff you throw out.
